Cystic Acne and Acne Cysts

The typical acne pimple is a small red bump. The redness stems from the action of the body’s germ fighting cells. The white blood cells attack the bacteria in the skin, creating a bump on the skin. A very large, extended, all-out attack can create an acne cyst. Cystic acne can sometimes be considered severe acne, depending on the amount of cysts and other acne.

Acne Solutions

here is no way to instantly cure acne. Most people can, however, arrive at some useful acne treatments that both help to control the severity and frequency of acne flare-ups, and clear up blemishes and prevent further acne over time.

A number of acne solutions deal with challenges that face many people with acne. Take, for example, the fact that a man with acne needs to find a way to shave, even though his facial skin may be covered with acne pimples. Some men and women also need to shave parts of their body which, in some cases, may be afflicted with body acne.

What is acne

Acne is a common human skin disease, characterized by areas of skin with seborrhea (scaly red skin), comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules (pinheads), pustules (pimples), nodules (large papules) and possibly scarring. Acne affects mostly skin with the densest population of sebaceous follicles; these areas include the face, the upper part of the chest, and the back.
Severe acne is inflammatory, but acne can also manifest in noninflammatory forms. The lesions are caused by changes in pilosebaceous units, skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland, changes that require androgen stimulation.
